My Strategy:

Russia must stay alive.  Its important not to try and go on the offensive.  Germany will out
produce you, so take the deffensive stance(I don't mean never attack, by all means attack).
When ever possible save units for example:  If you put everything possible in Karelia, but it
is still obvious that Germany can take it, don't put everything there.  It is important that Japan
doesn't start advancing through Asia towards you, If this starts, YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD.

What to Buy:  Infantry, Infantry and Infantry!

Other Strategies:

Attack Ukraine S.S.R. with one fighter all tanks at the west and all infantry at kalaria and move all
Russia infantry to kalaria with both fighters two. make sure to buy all infantry the first few turns
